Date: Saturday, July 26th, 2008. Firing will begin at 8:00 A.M. Stat office will close at 7:30. Please arrive early for squadding and registration. Location: Milan Rifle Club, Milan, IL. The range will be open on Thursday evening for camping. Please do not camp on the smallbore firing points. Range Map & Directions. Entries Close: July 26th, 2008 7:30 A.M. Entries made after that time will be considered late entries. Entries paid by those unable to attend will be refunded, less a $5.00 service fee, provided cancellations are made prior to entry closing time. There will be no refunds for those canceling after firing starts. Fees: Individual fees include entry in all fired and aggregate individual matches and NRA registration fee. Make all checks payable to I.S.R.A. NRA award points are acceptable. Military units must make advanced arrangements or pay cash during tournament sign-in.
Eligibility: Competition in the Regional Championship is open to all NRA members. Any competitor being unsafe or disruptive will be told to leave the range. Entry Limit: 68 individual entries. Squadding priority will be given to pre-registered entries. Rifles Allowed: Rifles falling under rules 3.1, 3.1.1, 3.1.2 (Service Rifles), or rule 3.3 (Match Rifles) will be allowed. Ammunition Allowed: Any safe ammunition may be used. Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI): Empty chamber indicators approved by the Match Director are required to be used at all times except during the preparation period and firing. Those not having an ECI may purchase one at the stat office for $2.00. Squadding: All matches will be pre-squadded. Competitors will receive scorecards and squadding when they report to the stat office upon arrival at the range. Any competitor failing to report for his/her scheduled relay will forfeit his/her right to fire in that event. Be prepared to show NRA Highpower Rifle Classification card when receiving squadding. Please note that each relay will fire match 2 (sitting) immediately after match 1 (standing). Scoring: Competitors will score on their assigned relay. Failure to do so may result in tournament disqualification. Target Service: Competitors will perform pit duty on their assigned relay. Hired target pullers may be used but the competitor who hired them will be held responsible for their target pulling performance. Unsatisfactory target operation may result in tournament disqualification. Due to the relay schedule, some competitors may be required to pull targets for more shots than other competitors. Please note the anticipated relay schedules for this tournament. Classification: NRA Highpower classification will be used. Those without a Highpower Rifle classification may be assigned one (Rule 19.6) or they will compete in the Master class (Rule 19.7). Please indicate classification on entry form. Course of fire:
Challenge Period: The challenge period ends ½ hour after posting of match results. National Championship Credit Award: The highest scoring competitor of each class (minimum of 5), or each class group, in the Regional Championship will receive a $40.00 credit for entry fees at Camp Perry for the Highpower Rifle phase. This credit is valid for 13 months and is NOT transferable. Each class must meet minimum participation requirements. The overall winner of the Regional will win a credit regardless of the number of competitors in his/her class. Awards Ceremony: An awards ceremony will take place in front of the stat office approximately 30 minutes after firing has completed for the day. All tournament awards must be accepted at that time or other arrangements made with the stat office. Awards not collected will be forfeit to the I.S.R.A. Highpower Rifle Program. Tournament Results: A match bulletin will NOT be mailed. Printed copies of the final results may be picked up from the stat office or viewed at http://www.illinoishighpower.org. Those competitors not wishing to have their names on the web site MUST notify the stat office by the conclusion of the tournament.

10 shots for record slow fire standing on the SR target from the 200 yard
firing line. Time limit: 10 minutes. The sling may be attached to the rifle
in the parade position, but may not be used for support. | |
| Stage 2:
10 shots rapid fire, standing to sitting or kneeling, on the SR target from
the 200 yard firing line. Time limit: 60 seconds. | |
| Stage 3:
10 shots rapid fire, standing to prone, on the SR-3 target from the 300 yard
firing line. Time limit: 70 seconds. | |
| Stage 4:
20 shots for record slow fire prone on the MR-1 target from the 600 yard
firing line. Time limit: 20 minutes. |
Awards: Credit towards the Distinguished Rifleman badge and appropriate Excellence-in-competition badges.
