Date: Saturday, July 26th, 2008. Firing will begin at 8:00 A.M. Stat office will close at 7:30. Please arrive early for squadding and registration.

Location: Milan Rifle Club, Milan, IL. The range will be open on Thursday evening for camping. Please do not camp on the smallbore firing points. Range Map & Directions.

Rules: Current NRA Highpower Rifle Rules will apply

When entering, please use this entry form only. Do not send in SR-1 cards.

Entries Close: July 26th, 2008 7:30 A.M.

Entries made after that time will be considered late entries. Entries paid by those unable to attend will be refunded, less a $5.00 service fee, provided cancellations are made prior to entry closing time. There will be no refunds for those canceling after firing starts.

Fees: Individual fees include entry in all fired and aggregate individual matches and NRA registration fee. Make all checks payable to I.S.R.A. NRA award points are acceptable. Military units must make advanced arrangements or pay cash during tournament sign-in.

Adults (individual): $40.00 per competitor (this includes an NRA fee of $9.00)
Late Entry Fee: $5.00
Challenge Fee: $2.00

Eligibility: Competition in the Regional Championship is open to all NRA members. Any competitor being unsafe or disruptive will be told to leave the range.

Entry Limit: 68 individual entries. Squadding priority will be given to pre-registered entries.

Rifles Allowed: Rifles falling under rules 3.1, 3.1.1, 3.1.2 (Service Rifles), or rule 3.3 (Match Rifles) will be allowed.

Ammunition Allowed: Any safe ammunition may be used.

Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI): Empty chamber indicators approved by the Match Director are required to be used at all times except during the preparation period and firing. Those not having an ECI may purchase one at the stat office for $2.00.

Squadding: All matches will be pre-squadded. Competitors will receive scorecards and squadding when they report to the stat office upon arrival at the range. Any competitor failing to report for his/her scheduled relay will forfeit his/her right to fire in that event. Be prepared to show NRA Highpower Rifle Classification card when receiving squadding. Please note that each relay will fire match 2 (sitting) immediately after match 1 (standing).

Scoring: Competitors will score on their assigned relay. Failure to do so may result in tournament disqualification.

Target Service: Competitors will perform pit duty on their assigned relay. Hired target pullers may be used but the competitor who hired them will be held responsible for their target pulling performance. Unsatisfactory target operation may result in tournament disqualification. Due to the relay schedule, some competitors may be required to pull targets for more shots than other competitors. Please note the anticipated relay schedules for this tournament.

Classification: NRA Highpower classification will be used. Those without a Highpower Rifle classification may be assigned one (Rule 19.6) or they will compete in the Master class (Rule 19.7). Please indicate classification on entry form.

Course of fire:

Saturday, July 26th, 2008. Firing begins at 8:00 A.M.

bulletMatch 1: 2 sighting shots, 20 shots for record slow fire standing on the SR target from the 200 yard firing line. Time limit: 22 minutes.
bulletMatch 2: 2 sighting shots, 2 ten shot strings rapid fire, standing to sitting or kneeling, on the SR target from the 200 yard firing line. Time limit: 60 seconds for each record string.
bulletMatch 3: 2 sighting shots, 2 ten shot strings rapid fire, standing to prone, on the SR-3 target from the 300 yard firing line. Time limit: 70 seconds for each record string.
bulletMatch 4: 2 sighting shots, 20 shots for record slow fire prone on the MR-1 target from the 600 yard firing line. Time limit: 22 minutes.
bulletMatch 5: The Illinois Regional Championship. Aggregate of matches 1, 2, 3, & 4.

 

Awards Schedule:

Matches 1-4: Each match will have a match winner award, which will be given to the highest overall scoring competitor in that match. He/She will be used to determine numbers of class competitors but will not be eligible for class awards.

Match 5: Gold, Silver, and Bronze Regional medals, as provided by the NRA, will be awarded to the top 1st, 2nd, and 3rd highest scoring competitors respectively. Medal winners will be eligible for category awards and will be used to determine numbers of class competitors but will not be eligible for class awards.

Overall winner in Match 5 will receive a Service Rifle Upper Receiver Assembly donated by White Oak Armament.

Matches 1-5: Category awards for High Woman, High Service, High Senior, and High Junior will be awarded to the top scoring member of that category in each match provided there are at least five competing members of that category. Category award winners will still be eligible for class awards.

Class awards will be awarded depending on the number of competitors in each class. There must be a minimum of 5, 8, 12, and 17 entries for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th , respectively, in class awards. If there is less than the minimum number of competitors in a class, that class will compete in the next higher class. If there is less than the minimum number of High Masters, they will compete for Match Winner only.

Challenge Period: The challenge period ends ½ hour after posting of match results.

National Championship Credit Award: The highest scoring competitor of each class (minimum of 5), or each class group, in the Regional Championship will receive a $40.00 credit for entry fees at Camp Perry for the Highpower Rifle phase. This credit is valid for 13 months and is NOT transferable. Each class must meet minimum participation requirements. The overall winner of the Regional will win a credit regardless of the number of competitors in his/her class.

Awards Ceremony: An awards ceremony will take place in front of the stat office approximately 30 minutes after firing has completed for the day. All tournament awards must be accepted at that time or other arrangements made with the stat office. Awards not collected will be forfeit to the I.S.R.A. Highpower Rifle Program.

Tournament Results: A match bulletin will NOT be mailed. Printed copies of the final results may be picked up from the stat office or viewed at http://www.illinoishighpower.org. Those competitors not wishing to have their names on the web site MUST notify the stat office by the conclusion of the tournament.

Date: Friday, July 25th, 2008. Firing will begin at 9:00 A.M. Stat office will close at 8:30. Please arrive early for registration and squadding.

Location: Milan Rifle Club, Milan, IL.

Open to: Any citizen of the United States 16 years of age or older, provided they can safely handle their firearm.

Rules: This match is governed by the CMP Competition Rules, 12th Edition.

Entry Limit: 68 Competitors. Priority will be given to non-distinguished competitors.

Authorized Arms: U.S. Rifle cal. .30 M1 (Rule 6.2.1); U.S. Rifle cal. 7.62mm M14 (Rule 6.2.2); U.S. Rifle cal. 5.56mm M16 (Rule 6.2.3); or their commercial equivalents.

Attention NRA Match Rifle shooters

Any competitor with an NRA match rifle may shoot in the "Sighters" match. This will be conducted at the same time as the E.I.C. match and will utilize the same course of fire. Squadding priority will be given to non-distinguished service rifle shooters, then to distinguished service rifle shooters, then to match rifle shooters.

Any non-distinguished service rifle shooter MUST be entered in the E.I.C. match and cannot shoot out of competition.

Ammunition Allowed: Any safe ammunition may be used.

The 50 Shot Rifle National Match Course (Rule 8.3.1)

bulletStage 1: 10 shots for record slow fire standing on the SR target from the 200 yard firing line. Time limit: 10 minutes. The sling may be attached to the rifle in the parade position, but may not be used for support.
bulletStage 2: 10 shots rapid fire, standing to sitting or kneeling, on the SR target from the 200 yard firing line. Time limit: 60 seconds.
bulletStage 3: 10 shots rapid fire, standing to prone, on the SR-3 target from the 300 yard firing line. Time limit: 70 seconds.
bulletStage 4: 20 shots for record slow fire prone on the MR-1 target from the 600 yard firing line. Time limit: 20 minutes.

Awards: Credit towards the Distinguished Rifleman badge and appropriate Excellence-in-competition badges.
